Crawling out from the pregnancy cave...

Okay, I'll admit, it's been a while since my last update. The good news is, I'm still pregnant. The bad news is...I'm STILL pregnant. But only for another 2 weeks. 13 days, actually. If we're counting....which we definitely are.

Before I dive into all the fabulous and exciting updates about my life, I'm gonna take us down a little detour to Warren Story Land. It's a magical place filled with great stories and funny quotes. Here it goes...

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I was just a poor engaged college student. My wedding to the man of my dreams was just around the corner, and because I was still living in campus housing, I was having all my wedding material mailed to my parents house, 5 hours away, including the swatch of my custom-made wedding dress.

On the fateful day that my swatch arrived, I eagerly skyped my mom (we did a lot of skyping back then). "Let me see the swatch!" I say excitedly.

A grim look takes over my mother's face. "Okay, but just...remain calm."

Blink. Heart Palpitations. Panic. Anti-calm.

My mom picks up the swatch. "So, this is your swatch..." she turns away for a moment and returns with a sheet of printer paper, holding it against the swatch. "And this is a white sheet of paper."

She picks up the swatch. "This is your swatch." She lifts a white napkin. "This is a white napkin."

Now, I get it. Back in the day, stark white was usually the color of your wedding dress. So I can understand her panic when she realized that the color I chose we less of a white, and more of a champagne.

I loved the color, but I'll admit, with each new example she held up, I did start to wonder if I'd made some grave mistake.

"Maybe I can....reach out to the dress maker?" I say.

"No...no...I don't think there's time. Don't panic" Sweet mother says. And then the infamous words that will live on forever. "It's perfect. We'll fix it."

Needless to say, my dreams were filled with mustard colored wedding gowns and evil sentient swatches for the next few weeks until the dress arrived and was indeed perfect. We didn't even need to fix it. :)

Proof:

So what's new since my last haphazardly spaced newsletter? I'm glad you asked!

  • We found out baby #2 is going to be a GIRL! My fabulous sister-in-law is affectionately referring to her as "Baby J," which I love. I'll let you guess in the comments what the J might stand for. :)

  • We finished Baby J's Bluey inspired Nursery. (The bottom is the inspiration, the top is the finished product.) Shout out to Susan May Warren for helping me put it all together!

  • I've published 16 episodes of Looking for Penny Larke, and people are really seeming to love it!

That's pretty much it. Well....that, and I've accidentally gotten blocked on Kindle Vella for plagiarizing my own content from that time I accidentally became a Wild Heart Author (see my last post for that traumatizing story). But, as my mother would say, "It's perfect! We'll fix it."

So, tech support is involved, NEVER FEAR! More episodes of Wendy and Milo's adorable hilarious story are coming SOON, and now is a great time to catch up before I get the rest of the episodes scheduled!

You can check out the story here! And if you want to leave a review, just scroll to the bottom of that page. :)

Love, Sarah and Baby J!
